WELCOME to the place to explore the legacy given to Holbrook, Arizona, and
neighboring areas from it’s early residents, which is sure to evoke memories of
grandma, your home town, or growing up in a different era.
The Navajo County Historical Society maintains a diversified collection of historic
artifacts in the old county Courthouse.
The museum is referred to as being the ‘peoples' museum, because it represents the
early lives of different cultures, settlers, ranchers, homemakers, teachers, government
officials, bankers, mercantile proprietors, and other businessmen and women.
Over the decades many have called Holbrook and the surrounding area home, and
they all have left their mark in history. The museum’s collections and exhibits are
made up of items that these citizens owned or used during their lifetimes.
People established our communities, and their stories are being told through the
objects, photos or documents that have come into the museum.
You are invited to stop by and step into the past, perhaps even wordlessly thank
these early residents for sharing their memories with you.
.
Admission is free and donations are welcome.
